Trip to Dallas

Well we are on our way home after a fun filled weekend. We arrived Thursday afternoon and checked out Outdoor World which is attached to our hotel. We went swimming for a little afterwards then headed to dinner at the Bass Pro's Uncle Bucks. It was pretty good and the scenery was beautiful!

Friday we spent at the Fort Worth Zoo. Luckily we had wonderful weather and got to enjoy all the animals.

After the zoo we swam a little and got ready for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. We were hoping for an amazing birthday celebration but Brooklyn was so exhausted that she had a terrible headache and stomach ache and cried most of the time at the table. She finally fell asleep in my lap and we were able to finish eating. 

Saturday Brooklyn felt much better and we headed to Dallas' Galleria mall to have brunch at the American Girl store. Even Penelope ate :)

We then took the kids to Grapevine Mall where we shopped until our appt at Legoland. I will say I was a little disappointed. We waiting in so many lines for so little. It was like a Lego Chuck E Cheese. But the kids enjoyed and that's all that mattered.

So now we are almost home after our day of driving. We are going to take Brooklyn out for some steak tonight and get ready to begin the countdown. Brooklyn's surgery is on Wednesday and the kids have 15 days till school. I can't believe summer is almost over!! Time really does go by too fast!
