Summer Surgery :(

So yesterday Brooklyn had her tonsils removed. Really I am glad she did because she had so many bouts of strep and tonsillitis. She did really well through the whole process and even afterwards. We got to the hospital at 5:45am and were home by 9:30am. She just rested most of the day and enjoyed some ice cream. Last night was a different story. She woke up several times moaning and you could tell she was in pain :(. Today she is really hurting. I gave her a bath and she is resting on the couch in comfy pajamas. I pray she has a better night tonight!

Trip to Dallas

Well we are on our way home after a fun filled weekend. We arrived Thursday afternoon and checked out Outdoor World which is attached to our hotel. We went swimming for a little afterwards then headed to dinner at the Bass Pro's Uncle Bucks. It was pretty good and the scenery was beautiful!

Friday we spent at the Fort Worth Zoo. Luckily we had wonderful weather and got to enjoy all the animals.

After the zoo we swam a little and got ready for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. We were hoping for an amazing birthday celebration but Brooklyn was so exhausted that she had a terrible headache and stomach ache and cried most of the time at the table. She finally fell asleep in my lap and we were able to finish eating. 

Saturday Brooklyn felt much better and we headed to Dallas' Galleria mall to have brunch at the American Girl store. Even Penelope ate :)

We then took the kids to Grapevine Mall where we shopped until our appt at Legoland. I will say I was a little disappointed. We waiting in so many lines for so little. It was like a Lego Chuck E Cheese. But the kids enjoyed and that's all that mattered.

So now we are almost home after our day of driving. We are going to take Brooklyn out for some steak tonight and get ready to begin the countdown. Brooklyn's surgery is on Wednesday and the kids have 15 days till school. I can't believe summer is almost over!! Time really does go by too fast!

On the road....

Today we are heading to Dallas to celebrate Brooklyn's birthday. Can't believe my girl will be 7!! Time is going by too quickly. We just finished lunch at Mazzios in McAlister, OK and are on the road again. According to Garmita (our name for the Garmin) we should be at hotel around 2:25. We shall see! When we get there we are going to get settled in, check out Outdoor World which is connected to our hotel, maybe check out the Grapevine Mall, dinner, then swimming. Tomorrow we hit the zoo! Summer fun!

Wow this summer is going by soooo fast! I can't believe school starts in less than a month! Today we are spending the morning at the pool! It is so nice having a place to swim. The kids really enjoy it too!

Soon we will be leaving and heading home for lunch and a nap (I work tonight). This afternoon I plan on getting the house cleaned up and some dinner made before heading off to work. I pray we have a good night!

More than a year???

I know....I know! I can't believe it's been over a year since I have posted. This is crazy! I need to do this, if not for myself. Time is going by so quickly and it will pass me by. I really just want to do this blog for me and my family. I think I need to make posts so at the end of the year I can make a book for memories. So much has happened. Brooklyn will now be a 1st grader and Jackson in 3rd! Jonah only has 1 more year of preschool and then kindergarten (no!!!!!!!). There is so much more I could write but I'm just going to start fresh. So here's to more posts!
